Sorry

But between the late start today (for the reason you'd think if you read the previous post) and various demands from Real Life, I'm not going to have a meaningful post up today. My bad.

Suffice it to say for now I'm as deeply, deeply unhappy about the decision as everyone else. To get any deeper will require more time and a clearer head than I've got today, so the JCCW will have to wait to hit you full force tomorrow. (When it will, cross my heart.)

As a peace offering, I give you the Gaslight Anthem, who I'd never heard of a week ago but whose new album I'm now convinced might actually save rock-and-roll, not that I'm that high on it or anything.

See you in the a.m.

I just heard that song for the first time recently as well (I think it was in an Aquarium Drunkard best of list?), and I kind of dig it, but at the same time.....eh. I don't know if they'll "save rock 'n roll", though does rock 'n roll really need saving so long as Bruce Springsteen is still alive?

Man, tough crowd.

RBR, the "save rock and roll" comment was supposed to be mostly tongue-in-cheek, since every awesome band that comes along is quoted as "the one to save rock and roll" by somebody. I figured it ought to be me in this case.

That was actually me, I didn't realize I was logged in as RBR. Anyway, thank goodness it was tongue in cheek, I automatically hate any band that gets that label on principle.
